Aidan Patrick Cook, composer

Composed over 7 months in 2015, and premiered on October 2 by the Boulder New Music Orchestra, this was easily my largest project to date. It was an observation by my teacher and friend Hunter Ewen in the form of a question: If time, performers, and just about everything else were no object, what is the piece I would want to compose? This savagely difficult, 80 minute monstrosity was the answer. Watching a project born of impossibility come to life was an incredible gift, and I am eternally grateful to all those who volunteered to bear this undertaking.
